General Program Information:
The Harold Washington College (HWC) Food Service Sanitation Program is a partnership between HWC and the City of Chicago Board of Health. The program offers training in food service sanitation in three languages (English, Spanish, Chinese - Cantonese/Mandarin). The Food Service Sanitation Program prepares personnel from food establishments for "Certification" and "Re-Certification" by the City of Chicago and the State of Illinois. This program also trains and certifies food vendors participating in outdoor summer festivals.
